GTA 6 price in India on PlayStation, Xbox and in stores
GTA 6 in India costs the same on PS5 and Xbox, and boxed PS5 copies hold a download code marked for Indian accounts, with no disc inside.

GTA 6 costs ₹5,999 for the Standard Edition and ₹7,499 for the Ultimate Edition in India, and the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store charge the same. Those two console stores are the only digital storefronts Rockstar lists for India; its own Rockstar Store isn’t one of them.
The game is for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It won’t run on a PS4 (Sony’s India listing), and Rockstar’s pre-order announcement gives no PC version.
Edition and upgrade prices on each store
Neither console is cheaper for either edition. The stores part ways on one line: the upgrade sold on its own.

Xbox prices the add-on at ₹1,500, the same as the gap between its two editions. Sony’s India page shows that upgrade under add-ons but gives no price. The items behind the gap are listed in the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition rewards breakdown.
Note: Both India listings give 18/11/2026 as the release date. The PlayStation page’s data places that at 18:30 UTC on November 18, which is 12:00 AM IST on November 19, the date its own FAQ gives. When the download can begin is covered in GTA 6’s pre-load time in India.
Is the Rockstar Store open to buyers in India?
No. Rockstar’s pre-order support page puts India under both console stores, but India is missing from the Rockstar Store’s list of 30 countries. Rockstar adds that the game will reach more countries “as allowed by platform policies, regional regulations, and age ratings,” with no date and no country named.
The mix-up began with the June 24 announcement, which named the Rockstar Games Store among the places selling GTA 6 worldwide. Several Indian news and guide pages repeated that line for India. The support page is the later and narrower of the two, last updated June 26, 2026.

Boxed PS5 copies at Indian retailers
November 12 is the first day boxed copies go on sale, and each holds a download code in place of a disc (Take-Two’s release). Rockstar’s support page says select retailers can sell the game wherever it is available, without naming any in India.
Reliance Digital’s PS5 listing shows what an Indian box looks like. Its MRP matches Sony’s Standard price, E-Xpress Interactive Software is named as the marketer, and the code is marked for PlayStation accounts registered to India. Rockstar’s editions page describes one physical version, holding a code for the game and the Vintage Vice City Pack, so a box is the Standard Edition.

Before you preorder: On any retail listing, check the seller’s name and the account country the code is for. Pre-loading starts only after the box arrives and you redeem the code, so a delivery after November 12 pushes your pre-load back with it.
The upgrade route costs the same on Xbox
On Xbox’s India store, Standard plus the upgrade adds up to the Ultimate price. The editions page says Standard owners can buy the upgrade at any point after their download code has been redeemed, so box buyers can take the same route.
PS5 is where that sum can’t be checked yet. With no upgrade price on Sony’s India listing, nothing confirms the PlayStation route will match.
Rupee prices beside the US launch prices
In the US, Rockstar set $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate in its June 24 announcement. The India listings are priced in rupees, and Rockstar hasn’t said how it arrived at the India figures.
Those rupee prices belong to Indian accounts. On PS5, a code sold in another region group won’t redeem on an account registered in India, while Xbox codes carry no region lock (Rockstar’s editions page).
Check your console’s own listing before paying
Open GTA 6 on the PS Store or Xbox’s store while signed in to the account you’ll play on. Read the add-on line as well as the edition price, because the upgrade is the one figure still missing on PS5.
